2024年5月27日，第十二次世界生物材料大会（WBC 2024）在韩国大邱盛大开幕。开幕式上，我院王贵学教授、蔡开勇教授正式当选2024国际生物材料科学与工程学会联合会“生物材料科学与工程Fellow”！

国际生物材料科学与工程学会联合会（IUSBSE）是一个非政治性的、非营利的学术组织，其设立的终身荣誉称号“生物材料科学与工程Fellow”（Fellow, Biomaterials Science and Engineering，简称FBSE）仅授予对生物材料科学和工程领域做出过杰出贡献、拥有杰出学术地位和成就的科学家。该称号是世界杰出生物材料专家的终身最高荣誉称号，每四年推选一次。

Prof. Guixue Wang has developed the vascular injury repair kinetics theory and invent some innovative vascular implant surface modification technologies to accelerate endothelial regeneration, inhibit in-stent restenosis and the recurrence of atherosclerosis, and for his leadership impact in research, education, and service in biomaterial sciences/engineering that the FBSE advances.

KAIYONG CAI

Prof. Kaiyong Cai has devoted himself to the interfacial/surface engineering of either titanium based orthopedic implants or drug delivery carriers, improving the efficacy of bone repair and tumor therapy. The above work improves the biological performance of the relevant biomaterials for potential clinical applications.
