【PERSONAL PROFILE】

Dr. Guoping Chen graduated from Nottingham University (Ph.D. in Biology, 1998. 06). After the completion of postdoctoral research at Sheffield University, Nottingham University and Oxford University, he joined Chongqing University (2002. 09) to carry out teaching/research work. He has presided one National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, six projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 10 projects supported by Ministry of Education, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission. He has published more than 110 papers in SCI journals such as Plant Physiology, Journal of Experimental Botany, Horticulture Research, etc (containing two ESI paper). Many papers were highlighted by media such as plant research, etc. Moreover, he has applied and obtained 16 patents of inventions. Current courses taught by Dr. Guoping Chen include Molecular Biology, Genetics, etc. He has supervised 50 master students and 30 Ph.D. students, students, 2 of whom have won the Chongqing Distinguished Doctorial Thesis prize.
