【PERSONAL PROFILE】
Dr. Hongyan Luo graduated from University of Dundee (Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, 2005.10). After the completion of postdoctoral research at Dundee University, she joined Chongqing University (2006.10) to carry out teaching and research work. She has presided and participated 4 Projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 6 Projects supported by Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Chongqing Science and Technology Commission, etc. She has published more than 20 papers in journals such as Smart Materials and Structures, Journal of Computer-Aided Design and Computer Graphics, Journal of Electronics and Information Technology, etc. Moreover, she has applied and obtained about 20 patents of inventions. Current courses taught by Dr. Hongyan Luo include Medical Image Processing, Electromagnetic Compatibility Design of Medical Electronic Equipment, Comprehensive Experiment of Medical Instrument Testing, Comprehensive Experiment of Biomedical Information Processing etc.
【RESEARCH INTERESTS】
1. Medical Image Processing and Modelling Simulation: Use clinical CT, MRI, cryosection, tissue images and other medical images to carry out registration, segmentation, 3D reconstruction and dynamic simulation modeling research with the focus on automatic analysis and processing algorithms, and to develop application software based on clinical needs.
2. Digital Holographic Microscopic Imaging(DHMI)Technology and Medical Applications:Based on the principles of DHMI, explore the optimized imaging conditions, autofocus, 2D/3D reconstruction algorithms, and automatic identification, classification and detection methods for microscopic objects such as biological cells. In combination with microfluidic chips, investigate the real-time dynamic observation technology for on-chip cells and develop portable, high-resolution DHMI devices suitable for clinical medical inspection and testing applications.
